Year 9 Parents’ Evening
Wednesday 11 November, 3-6pm – via video online
There has been a change to the way we run parents’ evenings, instead of X and Y bands being on separate evenings, we are offering the whole Year group together on the same day.
This will take place via video and will not be on-site. Students should be present for the appointment with their parent/carer. Our parents’ evenings allow you the opportunity to talk with your child’s subject teachers.
The online booking system will open on Wednesday 4 November at 7pm
The deadline for booking appointments is Tuesday 10 November at 10pm
Appointments need to be booked online via SchoolCloud

Enter the following details:
Parent name
Parent email address
Your child’s name and date of birth.
(These details must be identical to the details we hold on our system).
Once logged in, click on the date, select your son/daughter’s Teachers and select the required appointment time. Once you have booked, you will automatically receive a confirmation email.

Appointment slots are 4 minutes, with a 1 minute gap between slots. These will start and end on time.
We would ask that families make only 1 appointment per Teacher, even when parents have separated. The system does have the facility for more than one parent to join the video call from separate locations, please see instructions in the user guide above.
Please note that there are some teachers who will become fully booked for the first evening, so there will be a limited number of overflow appointments available on:Wednesday 18th November from 3-4.30pm.
Bookings for these will open on Thursday 12 November at 7pm and close on Tuesday 17 November at 10pm.
Where possible, please book your appointments for 11th November and only wait to book the second evening if absolutely necessary.
Parent/teacher discussions on this evening will be brief. If there are areas or concerns that you wish to discuss at greater length, please contact the school for a mutually convenient appointment at some other time.
Safeguarding
In order to make your video appointment effective, please follow the protocols listed below.We expect all attendees to adhere to these:
• Make sure the student is also available for the appointment
• Set up your device in a quiet space, be conscious of background environments
• Switch on your audio and camera
• Ensure the host is in control of the screen
• If other household members are home, let them know you are engaging in a live interactive session with teachers
