For September 2026, we are seeking to recruit an exceptional teacher of Religious Education and Geography to join our dynamic and forwarding thinking Humanities team. You will be a highly skilled and enthusiastic practitioner who can inspire students and help us to raise attainment in this key subject.

We have a high attaining, engaged student body with students who enjoy, and thrive in, Religious Education. RE is a valued and supportive subject with a strong team of subject specialists and shared resources. The successful candidate will be able to inspire our students with engaging learning opportunities and have a track record of delivering good lessons with the ability to secure progress for every student.

This is an exciting time to work within our friendly and supportive geography department, with the immediate implementation of a brand new KS3 geography curriculum that has been recommended by the Geographical Association. We also enjoy many exciting local fieldwork opportunities and there is potential to work to support our eco-committee which was identified by Ofsted as an example of student leadership empowerment.

This is an exciting time to join us at Crofton; the Humanities team are delivering lessons in recently refurbished well-equipped classrooms. We are a happy, and ambitious school, excited about our journey to becoming exceptional. If you are an imaginative and energetic teacher, able to contribute to our culture of sharing best practice and want to make a difference to the life-chances of all the students in your care then this could be the post for you.

Applications are welcome from qualified teachers from all levels of experience. We have an outstanding, and established Induction Programme to support staff new to the profession, that follows the national ECT programme. The person appointed will be given full support in their career development as we believe that development of staff is a key aspect in raising standards for our students.
