Prom 2025

Year 11 Prom arrangements 

Dear Parents/Guardians 

As you are aware this year’s Year 11 Prom is on Thursday 3 July 2025 at the Village Hotel, Portsmouth.

Students should make their own way to the Village Hotel and upon arrival there will be a red carpet for students to have their photo taken. The evening will start at 18.00 and finish at 22.30.

• The Village Hotel ask that parent/relatives do not park in their car park; they have arranged with Lakeside next door for you to use their car park A and from there use the underpass.

  
  

• Drive into Lakeside and follow the one-way system all the way round and it is the last car park closest to the hotel. There is a red and white barrier, and this is called ‘Visitors overflow parking’ and once you are parked, there is an underpass you can use, which will save you having to cross the road.

  
  

• Students going to the Prom must be dropped off between 18.00 and 18.30 – at the Village Hotel, Lakeshore Drive, Portsmouth, PO6 3FR (see maps below).

  
  

• Food will be served at 19.00 and the disco will start at 21.00.

  
  

• Students should be picked up from the Village Hotel by 22.30.

Dress will be formal and although most students wear either dinner suits or prom dresses, it is not essential. This is one of the last occasions for the students to be together and our aim is for as many as possible to attend. 

Students must not arrive at the Village Hotel ‘under the influence’.  If they do, they will not be allowed in the venue. In previous years we have had excellent evenings without the need for alcohol.
