New Intake Induction Days

We are looking forward to meeting our new starters on Monday 6th and Tuesday 7th July.
Programme:
Day 1 – Monday 6th July 8.45am start
Meet at the gate of the lower tennis courts (car park will be coned off from 08.40am)
Students will be escorted by student Transition Leaders to their Tutors on the top tennis courts.
A day with their tutor groups fostering new relationship and navigating the school.
Ties purchased online will be issued to students on this day.
3.00pm finish, collection from the same area.
Day 2 – Tuesday 7th July 8.45am start
Meet at the gate of the lower tennis courts (car park will be coned off from 08.40am)
Students will be escorted by student Transition Leaders to their Tutors/lesson 1 Teacher.
A day completing 4 subject taster lessons and one lesson of initial testing of spelling and reading.
3.00pm finish, collection from the same area.
Notes:
Students are to arrive in their Junior School uniform.
The tennis courts are located just inside the vehicle entrance to the school, off of Marks Road. If coming in from the main road pedestrian entrance, walk around past reception and follow the entrance road and you will see a direction sign to the tennis courts.
Please drop and go, prolonged farewells can increase the anxiety of other students. Staff will be on hand to support if needed.
We recommend students walk or cycle to school if possible.
Lunch will be provided.
Day 1 option – Sausage and chips, vegetarian sausage and chips, fruit and bottled water.
Day 2 option – Margherita Pizza and chips, fruit and bottled water.
Students are of course welcome to bring a packed lunch from home.
Students are to bring a refillable water bottle, hats and are advised to apply sunscreen before school.
