End of Autumn Term Letter

Dear Parents and Carers

As we reach the end of another term, I am writing with some brief updates and reminders ahead of the return to school in January.

Goodbye to Members of Staff

At the end of this term, we are saying goodbye to Mrs Bell (Dance and PE Teacher) and Mrs Bowden (Exam Invigilator). I am sure you will all join me in thanking them for their contribution to the school and wish them the very best for the future.

School Uniform

I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for your continued support with our school uniform expectations. We were delighted that so many of you responded to our recent consultation and we were pleased to be able to take both student and parent voice into consideration when reviewing our current uniform policy. The ‘Uniform and Equipment’ page of our website was updated on 1 December 2025 to reflect changes to our policy. No other changes have been made to the school uniform; we expect students to wear this correctly as always. Therefore, as well as enjoying a well-deserved Christmas break with your children, could I ask you to take the time to check their uniform and ensure it is fully aligned with our expectations for the return to school on Monday 5 January.

SPRING TERM DATES 2026

Spring Term: 5 January – 27 March

Inset Day: 30 January

Half Term: 16 – 20 February

Our staff will also be taking a well-earned break with their families over the Christmas holiday, so will be unable to respond to emails until they return to school on Monday 5 January, which will be a Week B. Any urgent matters should be sent to school@croftonschool.co.uk.

If you have any urgent safeguarding matters that require attention before the start of the spring term, please email safeguarding@croftonschool.co.uk.

Please remember that we will be finishing early on 19 December. All students will be dismissed by 12.25pm.
