Year 9 Parents GCSE Languages Taster Evening

Thursday 22^nd October 2026, 5-6pm

Dear Parents and Carers,

You are invited to a GCSE Languages taster evening for parents on Thursday 22^nd October 2026 from 5-6pm. The event will be held in classroom H4 (MFL block).

As a school, we are actively promoting GCSE Languages. Speaking a foreign language is a key skill in our increasingly globalised employment market. We know how vital parental support is, but we also know that some parents feel they do not have the skills to support their youngsters in learning a language.

With this in mind, we are planning an information event featuring a presentation about the importance of languages and some of the ways in which you could support your son or daughter with his or her learning.

In order to plan the event, I will need to know numbers in advance. You are also welcome to bring your son or daughter with you.

If you would like to attend, could you please fill in your details on this Microsoft Form by Wednesday 14^th October:
