Dear Parents and Carers,

Year 9 Parents GCSE Languages Taster Evening, Thursday 23 October 2025, 6-7pm

You are invited to a GCSE Languages taster evening for parents on Thursday 23 October 2025 from 6-7pm.

As a school, we are actively promoting GCSE Languages. Speaking a foreign language is a key skill in our increasingly globalised employment market. We know how vital parental support is, but we also know that some parents feel they do not have the skills to support their youngsters in learning a language.

With this in mind, we are planning an evening of fun activities and games for you. This will be followed by a short presentation about the importance of languages and some of the ways in which you could support your son or daughter with his or her learning.

In order to plan the event, I will need to know numbers in advance. You are also welcome to bring your son or daughter with you.
