This trip is only for member of the ALG group.
We are taking a party of Year 7 & 8 students on an overnight residential. There will be a group of 20 students in the party together with 4 members of staff. The group leader for the activity is Mrs Latter.
Venue: Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Activity Centre, New Forrest.
Date: Thursday 11 – Friday 12 December 2025
Outcomes: Personal Development; to build a strong sense of resilience; to work as a team; to develop leadership skills.
Dress: Casual – suitable for indoor/outdoor activities
Transport: School Minibus and staff car
Time of Departure: 09.00 – 11 December 2025. Please arrive at school 08.30am.
Place of Departure/Return: School car park; 14.30 – 15.00pm
You are welcome to pay in full or in advance of the instalment dates, but to help spread the cost of the trip we have suggested the following payment schedule. Please follow this schedule rather than the one on Scopay which relates to the Year 8 students already registered for the trip.
By 19.09.25 - £28.00 Initial deposit
By 10.10.25 - £28.00 Second payment
By 31.10.25 - £28.00 Third payment
By 16.11.25 - £28.00 Final payment
(Please note that this is a voluntary contribution but that the trip will not go ahead if insufficient contributions are received. If paying for the trip is a problem, please contact Mrs Latter, trip organiser).
We are a cashless school and ask all payments to be made via ScoPay. If you require a reminder of your son/daughter’s ScoPay login please email finance@croftonschool.co.uk.
Outline itinerary/details of activity: 11.12.25 – 09.00 depart Crofton;
10.30 – arrive Avon Tyrrell;
10.40 – students briefed on fire procedure and safety around the site;
Range of activities to be provided by the venue (full details to be confirmed);
12.12.25 – 13.00 depart Avon Tyrrell;
14.30 – 15.00 arrive back at Crofton.
Attendance on this trip is conditional on good attendance and behaviour in school. Should your son’s/daughter’s behaviour or attendance fall below
the expected standard, they will lose their place on the trip and any monies paid.
