Reading for Learning and Pleasure Workshop

Dear Parents and Carers of Year 7,

We are delighted to invite you to our “Reading for Learning and Pleasure” Workshop on Thursday 27^th November, from 6:00pm to 6:45pm in the LRC.

This informal and engaging session will explore how reading can support both learning and enjoyment at home. We will share practical strategies and tips to help you encourage your child’s reading habits and develop their love of books.

To make the evening even more special, we invite you to bring along a book — or a memory of a book — that you have loved, whether it’s a personal favourite from your own reading or one you have enjoyed sharing with your child.

We are also pleased to share that our local bookshop in Lee on Solent will be in attendance to offer guidance on choosing age-appropriate and engaging reads for young people. There will be books available to purchase and some free books they are donating for you to choose from.

We hope you can join us for what promises to be an inspiring and enjoyable evening celebrating the power of reading.
