PE Winter Kit 2026

Dear Parents and Carers,

With winter weather approaching, please support your child in participating safely and comfortably in PE lessons. Below is a guidance reminder regarding navy-blue winter layers, suitable outdoor footwear and essential hair and jewellery safety rules.

PE Uniform

• Colour: All PE clothing items must be navy blue, apart from jackets/coats.

• Labelling: All clothing must be clearly labelled with your child’s full name.

Recommended Layering

• Layering will allow pupils to remove outer clothing as they warm up throughout the lesson.

• Base: Thermal layers under the PE shirt.

• Mid: A round-neck sweatshirt or a ¼ zip jumper.

• Outer: A lightweight waterproof jacket or practical sports coat.

• Legwear: Skorts, or sports leggings/trousers (shorts may be worn underneath).

Footwear

• Bringing alternative footwear and spare socks for outdoor PE is strongly encouraged due to wet/dewy teaching spaces.

• Studded footwear (football/rugby boots, studs, or blades) is recommended for better grip on the field.

Safety: Hair, Jewellery and Hoodies

• Jewellery: All jewellery must be removed for PE lessons to ensure pupil safety.

• Hair: Mid-to-long hair must be securely tied back. Please ensure your child carries spare hair bands in their school bag.

• Hoodies: A reminder these are not part of the Crofton school or PE uniform and will be confiscated by tutors if seen.
