Dear Parents and Carers,
We are writing to let you know about an exciting change to the way we will set home learning from September.
From the start of the new academic year, all home learning will be set through Arbor, rather than Microsoft Teams.
Over the past year, we have reviewed our systems to ensure they provide the best possible experience for students, parents and staff. As part of this review, we have decided to move home learning to Arbor so that it is easier for families to stay informed and support their child's learning. Please note that on Arbor, home learning is referred to as assignments.
One of the key benefits of this change is that parents and carers will be able to see the home learning that has been set through the Arbor Parent App or Parent Portal. This provides greater visibility of upcoming tasks, helping you to support your child with organising their workload and meeting deadlines.
Moving to Arbor also means that we can bring more of our day-to-day school communication together in one place. Rather than using multiple platforms, Arbor will become the central system for home learning alongside the other information you already access, making it simpler and more convenient for everyone.
What this means for you:
From September, teachers will no longer set home learning through Microsoft Teams.
All home learning (assignments) will be available in Arbor.
Parents and carers will be able to view the home learning that has been assigned to their child using the Arbor Parent App or Parent Portal.
Students will continue to receive clear instructions and deadlines for each task.
If you have not yet activated your Arbor Parent App account, we encourage you to do so before the start of the new academic year. This will ensure you are ready to view home learning and continue receiving important school information.
We appreciate that any change to established routines can take a little time to get used to. We will support both students and families during the transition and will provide further guidance to students on using Arbor for home learning.
