Free Online Tutoring for Service Children

  • Jun 5
  • 1 min read

Free tutoring available for Royal Navy and Royal Marine and Royal Fleet Auxiliary students years 10,11, and sixth form.

The Go Learn tutoring pilot is a new national initiative from Greenwich Hospital and The Naval Children’s Charity (NCC), designed to give young people from serving Royal Navy, Royal Marines and Royal Fleet Auxiliary families academic support at critical times during education.

This fully funded programme offers high‑quality, personalised online tutoring, tailored to the unique challenges faced by Naval children—such as frequent moves, disrupted schooling, and changing educational systems.

Go Learn is open to secondary school aged students from serving Royal Navy, Royal Marines and Royal Fleet Auxiliary families. Support is available at key academic stages:

  • GCSEs and A Levels

  • Scottish Nationals and Highers

  • Specialist progression support for students with additional needs

The pilot will run for an initial 18‑month period, helping us understand the demand and long‑term benefits to families.
