Certificate Evening 2025

This week we were delighted to welcome back our leavers. It was wonderful to see them all and hear about everything they’ve been doing since the summer.

GCSE certificates were formally presented by members of staff, our School Governor, Ian Chapman, and our special guest, Penny Forse. Subject Awards were also given out, recognising the Highest Achiever and Most Progress in each area.

We were treated to a fantastic musical interlude from our very talented Year 8 student, Lukas D, who performed Burgmüller’s Tarantella on the piano.

Our Guest Speaker, Olympic athlete and sports coach, Penny Forse, delivered an inspiring speech, and two of our Senior Students, Lilly P and Jolie W, read the poem Desiderata by Max Ehrmann.

Huge congratulations to the recipients of this year’s major awards: the Headteacher’s Award was presented to Kelly W, and the Governors’ Endeavour Award to Neve H. Their names, along with those of earlier award winners: Ben A (Victor Ludorum Award) and Sofia N (Lessels’ Award), will now be added to the wooden honours boards in the school hall.

For those who were unable to attend, certificates will be available for collection from school reception after Monday 1 December 2025. If collection is not being made by a student, the person collecting must bring photographic ID.
