A Letter from HISP Executive Director of Education

Dear Parents and Carers,

I am writing to share an important and positive update for the Crofton School community.

Following a thorough and inclusive recruitment process, I am delighted to confirm that

Mark Palmer has been appointed as the new Headteacher of Crofton School.

This process was carefully designed to reflect the voices of staff, governors, and students, ensuring that the successful candidate aligns strongly with both the needs of the school and the values of our Trust. Mark emerged from a strong field of applicants, bringing with him a depth of experience, clear moral purpose, and a genuine commitment to delivering excellence for every child.

Over the coming weeks, Mark will begin working closely with us to ensure a smooth and thoughtful transition for a June 1st start. A key priority during this time will be getting to know the Crofton community, building relationships with staff, students, and families, and listening carefully to what matters most to you.

I know you will join me in welcoming Mark to Crofton School. I am confident that his leadership will build on the school’s strengths and support its continued success.
