Dear Parents/Guardians
We are delighted to invite our current Year 8 students to take part in an exciting residential trip to London. This three-day visit promises to be a memorable experience, combining cultural enrichment, educational workshops, and some of London’s most iconic attractions.
Location: London
Date: Thursday 19.11.26 - Saturday 21.11.26
Learning outcomes: To support the development of independence, resilience, teamwork and confidence, while providing valuable educational opportunities beyond the classroom.
There will be a group of 30 students in the party together with 3 members of staff. The group leader for the activity is Mr West.
Dress: Smart Casual - students should wear clothing that is appropriate for the weather conditions on the day and flat comfortable footwear
Transport: Coach
Time and Place of Departure: Thursday 19 November 2026 from school, TBC
Anticipated Return: Saturday 21 November 2026 at school, TBC.
Cost: £586.00.
The cost includes: Half board accommodation; entrance fees and transport

Thames River Cruise (one-way)

West End performance of Disney’s The Lion King
If you are interested in your child taking part in this trip, please pay a deposit of £100.00 by Friday 13 March 2026 and complete the online reply slip by clicking the link emailed to parents. Crofton School is cashless, so our preferred method of payment is by our online payment system Scopay. If you require your child’s ScoPay login please contact the Finance office at finance@croftonschool.co.uk .
Places will only be confirmed once the deposit has been received. Please note that there are 30 places available on this trip. Should the visit be oversubscribed, names will be drawn at random after 13 March, to ensure a fair allocation of places. Unsuccessful students will be put on a waiting list to take the place of anyone who drops out. Once names are finalised, we will ask you to make further payments as per the schedule below.
Further details regarding accommodation and travel arrangements will follow in due course. We will also hold an information evening to provide additional information and answer any questions you may have.

All deposits are non-refundable unless an acceptable replacement is found. If the trip is paid by instalments, once the money has been paid to the travel company, it will also be non-refundable.
Should we not attract enough students, the trip may be cancelled and any payments you have made will be refunded.
Attendance on this trip is conditional on good attendance and behaviour in school. Should your child’s behaviour or attendance fall below the expected standard, they will lose their place on the trip and any monies paid.
If your child’s involvement in this activity affects deadlines in relation to the submission of work, they should inform the member of staff concerned
Contact point only to be used in an emergency: Please note that unless otherwise stated, the initial emergency contact point at school will be Mrs Farrand. The trip organiser will have a school mobile for emergencies, number to be confirmed.
