Ski Trip 2024 - Day Seven: There’s Snow Place Like Home

Well this is it, our final day. We wake to complete some final bits of packing before heading down to breakfast.

We met our instructors for the final time and enjoyed some casual skiing for a couple of hours around the Edelweiss lifts. We all completed our final runs of the holiday before meeting and holding our presentation ceremony, where we award those who have been the ‘best skier’ and ‘most improved’ in each group. We also presented two students with the fastest slalom time and overall best skier. As a congratulations to everyone for completing the week, everyone was awarded a medal and certificate for their achievements.

We provided each of our instructors with a thank you gift and then parted ways. We’ll have very fond memories of our fantastic instructors for a long time to come, we hope to see them again in the future should we return to Obertauern.

We’ve loaded our luggage and we’ve got our backpacks ready to go. As we board the coach we leave with hearts full of joy and memories that will last a lifetime.

Instructors and hotel staff couldn’t be more complimentary of our students and their politeness. Crofton staff would like to echo these comments and stress how much we’ve enjoyed spending the week with the kind and respectful young people who represent us so well.

Our ferry at Calais is booked for 8am so we’re hoping to be home during the afternoon. We’ll attempt to update everyone as we know more.

Thank you for reading our ski blog and ski ya later!
