Dear Parent/Carer/Guardians

VACANCIES FOR PARENT TRUSTEES

I am writing on behalf of the Board of Trustees to inform you of two vacancies for Parent Trustees on the Board of Trustees for HISP Multi Academy Trust.

Our Trust, One Trust

The purpose of Our Trust is courageous, transformative education for all with a vision to create and promote supportive environments that eliminate barriers to education and empowers individuals.

Our Trust is proud to have expanded to include eight schools across the South of England and the Isle of Wight that includes Thornden School, Portswood Primary School, Crofton School, Highcliffe School, Tanners Brook Primary School, Danebury School, Carisbrooke College, Medina College and the Island VI Form.

The Board of Trustees is responsible for providing strategic leadership, robust accountability, oversight and assurance for all our schools. Our values of Pupils First, Courage, Equity, Ambition, Excellence and Sustainability are fundamental to how Our Trust works and inform all our decisions.

As a Trustee, you will be an essential part of the Trust Board working with other Trustees and with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to develop, deliver and determine Our Trust’s mission, vision and strategic direction and growth.

To be a Trustee of Our Trust you should:

Have a strong commitment to the role and to improving the lives of the children and young people who attend our schools.
Good interpersonal skills, curiosity and a willingness to learn and develop new skills
You will be expected to make a positive and meaningful contribution by:
Attending both Trust Board and some Trust Committee meetings
Get to know the schools in Our Trust including visiting occasionally in school hours.
Establish and maintain professional relationships with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team and colleagues on the Trust Board
Undertake induction training and develop your knowledge and skills on an ongoing basis.

Eligibility

To be eligible you must be the parent, carer or have parental responsibility for a child registered as a pupil at one of our schools.

Please return the form no later than 4pm on Friday 30^th January 2026. Any candidate forms received after this time will not be considered.

Process

If more applications than there are vacancies are received, then there will be an election process. Details of this process are attached.
