Dear Parents and Carers
You may be aware that the Met Office has issued an amber weather warning for very strong winds tomorrow (Thursday 2 November) in our area. At this stage, we do not expect this to cause significant disruption to the school day, but as a precautionary measure, we will be asking all students to remain indoors during break and lunchtime, and there will be no outdoors lessons.
If your child normally cycles to school, you may wish to consider alternative arrangements for Thursday if you feel this would be safer.
Should the advice change, and we need to close the school, we will inform you as soon as possible via email and on the school website. Please ensure you check this on Thursday morning before sending your child to school. However, at present, there are no plans for a school closure, and you should plan for your child to attend school as normal unless informed otherwise.
Yours sincerely
Mr S Harrison
Headteacher, Crofton School
