We are looking forward to our non-school uniform day on Friday 13th December where we hope to raise money to support our school charity work including the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
We would like to further clarify our expectations on what can be worn so that there are no misunderstandings on the day:
Normal expectations about hair colour and piercings will apply.
For health and safety reasons pupils may not wear high heels or backless shoes, however trainers may be worn.
Clothing and slogans that are inappropriate for a mixed age school environment will not be permitted.
The expectations for skirt length should be no different to those worn for school uniform, bare midriffs and low cut tops or trousers/tops that reveal underwear are not considered appropriate.
Can I please stress it is not a fancy dress day. If the attire of a student is considered inappropriate for school they will be sent home to change. If you are in any doubt about the appropriateness of your child’s clothing for Friday do please contact us.
We hope that your son/daughter will enjoy the opportunity to raise money for this worthy cause. A donation of £1 should be brought in on the day if they wish to take part in this event.
Many thanks for your support.
