As you may be aware Crofton would usually hold a number of non-school uniform days and an annual charity week, in order to support local and national charities. I am sure that you will also be aware that many charities are struggling due to the current pandemic. At Crofton one of our values is Kindness and we want to do as much as we can to support them.
I would like to continue to have non-school uniform days and the planned dates are:
> Friday 23 October
> Friday 11 December
> Friday 26 March
> Thursday 15 July
> A fifth date is yet to be decided.
We would normally ask students to bring in £1 for each of these days, but as you know we are unable to collect cash at this time and for at least the next few months. We are therefore asking parents to pay £5 in one payment for all 5 days. The amount can be paid on ScoPay, whenever you have the funds to do so.
I will update you around each date with the money the charity will support. As always, I welcome suggestions from students. The money for the first date will be split between two charities Jeans for Genes (a charity we have supported for several years) and Show Racism the Red Card. It is hoped that we will be able to give each charity £500. I will let you know after the event how much we have raised. We will also be supporting World Mental Health Day on Friday 9 October and will be donating some of the money raised last year to support this charity.
I thank you for your continued support.
