On the 28th of April 2023, we set up a clothes donation station in Crofton School.
As a school, in the last eight months, we have collected and recycled 51kg of clothes, which equates to 150 litres of water for every kilogram of textile.
That means that 7650 litres of water have been saved by Crofton School!
All of the the clothes were donated to local charities, including: The British Heart Foundation, The Salvation Army, Revitalise, and more.
Considering the fact that so much water and clothes are wasted each year due to the demands of fast fashion, it is amazing how much we have saved.
Thank you to everyone who contributed!
