Author Visit Tamsin Winter - Monday 9 March

I am delighted to inform you that award-winning children’s author Tamsin Winter will be visiting our school to talk to our Year 7 students on Monday 9 March. Tamsin will discuss her award-winning novel Being Miss Nobody, as well as introducing us to her latest book, Jemima Small Versus the Universe, which has recently been  shortlisted for the Waterstone’s Children’s Book Prize.

During Tamsin’s visit, she will discuss the contemporary themes her books deal with, such as body confidence, cyberbullying and, most importantly, how to be happy with who you are. She will also share her best writing tips, and our students may ask Tamsin any questions they may have.

Students will have the opportunity to meet Tamsin and, if they have a copy of her book, have this personally signed. You can also buy copies of Tamsin’s books on the day as we will have The Book Shop, Lee on Solent, joining us. Being Miss Nobody will be £6.99 and Jemima Small Versus The Universe will be £7.99.** Alternatively, your child can buy both books for the discounted price of £12.50. Please have your child bring cash on the day.

Author visits are highly enjoyable and inspirational for our students, and we do hope your child finds Tamsin’s visit a valuable and memorable experience. To find out more about Tamsin and her books visit
