Dear Parents / Guardians,
On Tuesday morning (18 December) at 10:50 all performers in the Christmas Concerts should meet at the main school Reception area (near the car park) with their instrument and music. They will then walk to Holy Rood Church accompanied by some members of staff. Performers in the concert must take a warm coat, something to read and a packed lunch. Rehearsals will continue until 3.10. Students can go home directly from the church. Any students with instruments too heavy to carry should see Mr Oliver as soon as possible.
This concert this year has a fantastic programme with music ranging from rock to classical and is full of Christmas music both old and new. Tickets are still available for both Tuesday 18 and Wednesday 19 December at £2.50 from the Finance Office. The concerts will start at 7pm and should be finished by 9pm.
The code of dress for anyone performing in the Christmas (and Summer) Concerts is a smart, plain black outfit with plain black shoes and socks. Boys should wear a plain tie of a single colour (of each student’s choice). Girls should wear smart trousers, a skirt or a sleeved dress that reaches below the knee when in a seated position. Please avoid bare arms and shoulders, striped or patterned clothing and casual looking clothing such as skinny fit or flared trousers or bright socks.
If you have any queries regarding this uniform please do not hesitate to contact me.
Mr J Oliver (Head of Music)
