As per recent local reports, Crofton School can confirm it has suffered from two break-ins between 1-2am earlier this week. In both cases those responsible gained access via skylights.
We are pleased to report that unlike other schools in the area we received little damage and that our security measures were effective. We are working with the local police who have advised that enquiries are continuing to establish if any of the reports are linked. Police officers will be patrolling the areas around schools in Gosport and Stubbington overnight during the coming days.
Crofton are also encouraging teachers and staff at any school to be vigilant, to ensure that all doors and windows are locked, and that equipment is locked away. The Police would like to hear from anyone who has seen anything suspicious in the areas around the schools or community association.
You should call 101 quoting reference number 44180442060.
Thank you for your cooperation and support in this matter.
