Key Workers

Critical Worker / Vulnerable Children Provision

The Government has asked schools to make provision for children of Critical (Key) Workers and those children defined as vulnerable. The Government’s definition of these groups and further information can be found here: Closure of Educational Settings

I would like to emphasise that that school is closed to the vast majority of students and that the government advice (quoted below) is very clear about what provision should look like for most students.

“The government has asked parents to keep their children at home, wherever possible, and asked schools to remain open only for those children who absolutely need to attend.

It is important to underline that schools, colleges and other educational establishments remain safe places for children. But the fewer children making the journey to school, and the fewer children in educational settings, the lower the risk that the virus can spread and infect vulnerable individuals in wider society.”

As a school we are committed to keeping our young children safe and we will be supervising students whilst they complete work set by their teachers on Show My Homework. There is no teaching of the curriculum taking place and students are not in their normal teaching or year groups.

To support us in staffing our school, we would appreciate you completing the survey via the following link by 1.00pm every Friday so that we can allocate places to children of key workers and those that are vulnerable. The link has been enabled for both mobile and desktop applications: Key Worker Support
