Anti-Bullying Alliance – further information

March 8, 2018

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Many of you have been interested in our recent news item about Crofton School’s work with the Anti-Bullying Alliance (ABA), and asked for more information. We know Bullying is an area that many have shared concerns about, and we have recently been engaging with groups of parents and individuals to look at ways we can better address these concerns. This proactive dialogue has been very helpful to the school and joining the ABA is one of a number of measures we are now taking to ensure our approach to bullying becomes a strength of the school.

The ABA is a coalition of organisations and individuals, working together to stop bullying and create safer environments in which children and young people can live, grow, play and learn. They support a network ofthousands of schools and colleges, and our aim is by joining this we will be able to use their research based resources and best practice from other schools and organisations to develop more effective ways of tackling bullying. Their website provides more information at and we will be informing parents and students of how we will be using our ABA ‘core membership’, along with other steps we are taking, in the near future. Of course, in the meantime, if you would like to know more about the work we are doing in this area, do please contact us. Our key contact for this is Mrs J Crook.

Kind regards,
Crofton School
