Crofton is a happy and successful 11-16 Foundation School with just over 1000 students, serving the village of Stubbington and surrounding area. We are a mixed, comprehensive school, admitting students of all abilities.
Our distinctive ethos combines high expectations and achievement with a strong sense of kindness, inclusivity and enjoyment. We take great pride in the high standards achieved by our students – they leave us as happy, well-qualified, confident and well-motivated young adults who go on to excel in local sixth-forms, colleges, universities and the wider world.
Mr Simon Harrison, Headteacher
This year’s leavers did very well in their GCSE results overall. The following results are provisional and subject to appeals.
70% of students achieved at least 5 GCSEs at A*-C grades and 64% of students achieved at least 5 GCSEs (including English and Maths) at A*-C grades, which is slight increase on last year of 1% and still well above the national average.
21% of students achieved at least 5 GCSEs at A*-A grades compared to 17.6% last year. In addition, 7 students attained A* and A grades in every subject taken.
Results day on 24th August was a wonderfully memorable occasion for our students. It was particularly special to see so many students doing better than they had expected and being so excited about the next stages of their education. It was evident that those who met or exceeded their target grades worked consistently very hard and had excellent attendance.
I would especially like to thank all of my teachers and staff at Crofton School for their commitment, resourcefulness and dedication in preparing our young students to provide them with the best chances of achievement in their summer exams.
